There are many products such as sorbent pads, tubes (socks or pigs), pillows, etc., on the market today. Although useful, due to the fact that (a) most if not all of these products are made of non-biodegradable materials (b) they are activated through sorbing the toxins they are used to control, such products are hazardous and expensive to dispose. Additionally, specifically in terms of socks or pigs, many of these products take up large amounts of space, are cumbersome and difficult to transport. This makes them impossible to have on hand at all times.

The RPD™ device, with its patent pending design when containing Fb Systems' trade secreted SAP500, can alleviate these problems. Although when inflated the standard RPD is 92" long and 8" in diameter, before inflation and deployment it is far more compact. Standard RPD's are sold in single or double packs; a single pack is 14" long and 4" in diameter. The double pack measures 14" x 14" x 4". Whether single or double, the RPD's are packaged in durable, food grade shrink wrap plastic. This allows for easy, convenient, reliable storage and transportation.
